Guest Stamper: Kathy O.

I am introducing a new feature on my blog. Every month I want to feature at least one guest stamper. Anyone can be a guest stamper. It is really just a way to showcase all the great work I am seeing being done by friends, family, customers, virtual pals and many others. So, today's guest is Kathy. Now, Kathy is a dear friend and customer. Actually, she got me started with Stampin' Up. I was a pure scrapbooker until Kathy opened my eyes to the world of cards, Stampin' Up! and not to mention the Cricut and the rest as they say is history. In my mind, it was only appropriate that she be my first guest stamper. Kathy made two great cards. The first uses the retired Golden Oldies stamp set from the Occasions Mini. I love how she colored in the little old lady. Stampin' Write markers are perfect for this coloring and you can even use your blender pen. The key is to stamp the main image in Black Stazon ink (101406) to ensure your inks don't run together. The sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370) is stamped in Basic Black and put on a little tag adhered with brads. TIP: If you use Stazon, make sure to get the cleaner (109196)to ensure your stamps stay clean and like new.

The second card is is a flower pot pocket card. She used the Cricut to cut the pot and the flower. The flowers and accent stripe on the top of the pot are cut from the Good Morning Sunshine DSP (now retired). The sentiment which is from Sincere Salutions (115068) is stamped in Chocolate Chip on Dusty Durango and then punched with the Scallop Circle Punch (109043). Using this punch is great for making tags and perfect for pocket cards like this. Green ribbon tied with a ribbon pull from Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware (112454) serve as a perfect accent. The pocket card is stamped with a great little sentiment from Curvy Verses (114948),

Again, I want to thank Kathy for the being the first guest stamper. I like her style and how she isn't afraid to add that bit extra. Like she said herself once to me, "she has never seen some bling that she didn't like." If you are intersested in being a guest on my blog. Send me an email. I am always open to sharing and seeing all the great talent out there.

Don't Forget to Play PPA!!! Tomorrow is a new challenge and I can't wait. Check out the past challenges by going to Pals Paper Arts.
