Simple Thank Yous Are the Best

Happy Monday!! This weekend was very busy. I finally accepted that summer is over and fall doesn't exist, so my husband and I tackled the task of dealing with all the patio furniture and stuff. Now, everything should be secure and safe when winter gets here. I also did some shopping and teaching. A fellow crafter/friend and I took a trip to Ikea to help with our punch storage. Also, we did a few new creations that I have seen on Splitcoast. Both we huge successes. Lastly, I volunteered at a Touch a Truck event that my Junior League chapter hosts every year. It's a great event where kids get to jump, climb and interact with all different types of trucks. My ears are still ringing from the horn blowing.

I had a few thank yous that I had to get out. One was for my youth pastor who was moving and the other for the winner of the Blog Candy (STAY TUNED MORE CANDY THIS WEEK).

I used the layout from Clean and Simple - FTL 61. It is such a easy and versatile sketch, I will definitely use it in a future. It's also a great way to showcase all that Designer Series Paper I have. To add that little special touch, I lined the envelopes with the same paper to give the card and envelope cohesion.

It is fairly easy to do. Just measure the width of envelope and height from top of flap to where the envelope covers. You just want to cover that open area. Cut in a rectangle just slighter higher so some of your paper goes into the evelope. For SU! envelopes (Whisper White #107301), you will have to do a little trimming since it isn't perfectly square. Lick the envelope glue and use that to stick the DSP to the flap. Trim the edges with Paper Snips (#103579). I use a bone folder to get that crease back again and you are done. A little glue closes the envelope again or if you are hand delivering just tuck the flap inside.

THINK PINK The Pals Paper Arts Challenge for this Thursday, October 29th will be all about breast cancer awareness. Join us as we join together for a great cause. Play PPA and you just might win!!!

Great use of the layout.

Very pretty cards.

I love em! I esp love what you did with the flocked Christmas DSP. That's a neat way to use it!

Beautiful work. "Envelope cohesion." Love it. Hugs, Mary
