PPA16 - Mini Christmas Scrapbook
This week's challenge from Pals Paper Arts is all about Christmas Cheer. I must admit that not until getting a home of my own, did I truly fall in love with Christmas. I grew up in S. Florida which made it tough to get into the Christmas spirit, but now living up north I can enjoy a truly white Christmas. This project I learned from another SU demo who graciously posted a tutorial on her site. It's a great gift for that scrapbook friend or just a great way to send a gift that commemorates an event. It is so versatile and easy to do that it can work on so many different occasions- baby showers, graduation, vacations, etc.
My mini-scrapbook was made entirely from the Simply Scrappin' Christmas Jingle kit. This kit is a best buy for the holiday season and my most recent blog candy. It has some amazing paper along with great stickers that can be used on so many other projects. The best thing is that is already color coordinated for you - no guessing required. My husband actually proposed to me on December 23rd, so this book has some photos from our celebration night out in Rockefeller Center as well as our first Christmas tree in our home. I also used the the ornament punch from the Holiday Mini to give a festive shape to my photos. I left room to do some journaling later as well.
The cover of my scrapbook features a chipboard letter covered with designer series paper from the kit. TIP: Covering chipboard with paper is super easy and ga reat way to get some 3-d effect on your project~be sure to use a sanding block to smooth out the edges. This was then layered over a Top Note in Chocolate Chip cut with my Big Shot and SU! Exclusive Top Note Die.
Have you started on your Christmas projects?? If so, play along with this week's challenge by going to www.palspaperarts.com. You could be the winner of the Blog Candy. You should also check out all the other entries and maybe you will find some inspiration. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

Great job! I love how the pages fan out with the toppers in the opposite direction. I gotta try one of these.
