December Holiday Hop
Welcome to the 9th stop on this Holiday Hop!!! I hope you enjoyed your visit with Kim at Stamp, Scrap, Get Kreative. As I am sure you can tell by now, it's the final Hop of 2009 and we plan to go out with a blast. The theme of this Hop is all about Christmas!! In keeping my own personal challenge, I did a 3-D item. This Top Note purse was all the rage on Splitcoast and must do on my list.
Now who's says Christmas as to be all Red and Green - Black and red are a huge hit for Christmas and what inspired me to make this card.- The Santa Clause image from Just Beclause was first colored in with ink pads and Aqua Painters - I strayed from the norm and made his trim red to really show off the wording in his coat.
- The image was then layered on top of Real Red that was embossed with Petals a Plenty.
- The image was first colored it in with ink pads and Aqua Painters
- Two whisper White 2 3/4" squares were embossed with the same folder make nice frame above and below
- The sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes is stamped in Basic Black and then embossed with clear embossing powder and punched with the modern label punch TIP: Clear embossing powder is great way to get a shiny image without having to buy embossing powder in every color
- The striped grosgrain ribbon and bow finish off the card

The Top Note purse is terrific and I love your card, too! It is funny that we both went with the black and red on our cards. Just called out to me to use them.
